The 7th Hum Awards are ready for showtime!

The stars have landed in Houston, Texas where the award night will be taking place on October 5 and preps are in full swing.

Will Iqra Aziz win best actor (female) or will Aiman Khan? Who will take home the trophy for best actor in a negative role? Is Yasir Hussain going to make another comic faux pas? Good, not that I have anything against the celebs going to Huston, just wondering if the event could not have been arranged in Pakistan? Secondly who is going to foot the bill for such a grand finale, specially the foreign exchange component? Who says Pakistan is a poor country with depleting foreign exchange reserves.

HUGE wastae of money. Why they could not have conducted the same thing in Pakistan? It is no fair to ask money from diaspora when such foolishness is conducted with the money held by our Pakistani folks.

Houston has a super big Pakistani population, along with Indians and other desis. Also showcasing talent to countries abroad is a good way of networking. Besides a significant portion of money will be generated from ticket sales to attendees.
