Dil Dil Pakistan is our favorite national song, its place is perhaps second only to our national anthem. Thank you, and rest in peace.

For all the muslims around here, RIP does not mean anything. Please use إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعُونَ (Inna Lilla Hi Wa Inna Ilayhi Rajioon) Thanks,

We only recognize people when they are dead and gone. And all those years when the song was played either on the TV or on the radio or by the group the name of the poet was never mentioned it was never a splashed on the TV it was never recognized .

A National Shame: ‘Dil Dil Pakistan’ Creator Nisar Nasik Dies in Poverty Most people give film-maker Shoaib Mansoor all the credit. The truth is that he just ‘amended’ the lyrics. Just like an editor simply does not take credit for a post. It's not Shoaib. So, who is the person we have to thank for this song? It was poet Nisar Nasik who penned the legendary national ballad. Unfortunately, he breathed his last on July 3, 2019 and in circumstances that should make us hang our heads in shame.

National Shame.... Nisar Nasik suffered in poverty towards the end of his life. He never got his share of recognition. In the end, he lost his sight and memory. Yet he still knew the lines to Dil Dil Pakistan by heart. Nisar Nasik lived in miserable conditions on the outskirts of Rawalpindi. Several other artists, singers, and poets have been treated like Nisar. This needs to stop and we need to take better care of our legends. What’s more offensive, the indifference or the ignorance?
