Ariana Grande has something to say about her wax statue at Madame Tussauds
Last week, Ariana Grande's wax figure was unveiled at Madame Tussauds London and like most people, the Thank you, next singer isn't feeling it.
"You chose Classic Ari! Now we have her style nailed, you can see @ArianaGrande at Madame Tussauds London for 5 weeks from Friday," shared the wax museum.
But Ariana Grande was clearly not thrilled. The 25-year-old commented under the news saying, "I just wanna talk".
And many fans felt the same... with just more outrage.
They took to social media to express their disappointment. Some even termed it horrific, appalling, offensive and an insult to the singer.
One upset fan wrote, "I hate Ariana's new wax figure. It's not her face. She deserves more respect you know. She's the best female pop singer in the world and all you could do was this. They need to create a new one because this ain't it."
Another took a jibe at the statue and said, "I look more like Ariana Grande than this wax figure of Ariana Grande".
And it didn't just stop there.
However, some people argued that the wax figure shows a younger, paler version of Grande, before she started appropriating black culture.
And some agree.
Grande identifies herself as Italian-American, but her music videos Breathin' and Thank u, next, show her skin tone as significantly darker than her original skin tone. Reportedly, she sometimes even adopts a “blaccent:” which is an accent "characteristic of African-Americans".
