Everyone has their own opinions when it comes to Game of Thrones but one thing we all can agree on is Lyanna Mormont is top-tier.

The Lady of Bear Island grabbed our attention in season 6 - with us first hearing about her in season 5 - and has continued to win our hearts since then. Now 15-year-old actor Bella Ramsey, who has gained quite a following for her brilliant portrayal of the head of the proud House Mormont, has opened up about playing the beloved and badass young Lady.

"I respected her," said Ramsey. "She was just words on the page, but I really felt a sense of her. I was already rooting for her. She’s a badass."

She added, "I like how strong she is — mentally, physically, personality-wise. I like how she sticks up for what she believes in, no matter the cost or the consequences. I really admire her confidence, how she can just stand up without flinching in front of all those people."

Turns out, Ramsey is just as hardcore as her GoT character, as she loves how her character is evocative of Brienne of Tarth, both being "these females who are sticking up for what they believe in and proving that girls can be just as strong as boys, women can be just as strong as men."

Her other favourite character?

"I really like Arya. She’s little and powerful. There’s this great line from the show Matilda: “Even if you’re little, you can do a lot. You musn’t let a little thing like this stop you.”"

Strong and smart, how can we love her any more?

Also, playing someone like Lyanna was a breeze to her! While it may seem like an acting challenge, according to the young star, "I think if the scenes were funny, then it would’ve been hard. But all the scenes I did were quite serious, so it wasn’t difficult."

With GoT coming to an end, Ramsey reveals the one thing she'll miss the most and we love it.

"I think the opportunity to stand up in front of a load of grown men and shame them. I think playing confident characters also helps with your own confidence. Say you’re in a situation where you’re feeling anxious or nervous — you can become a character and work through it that way. I’ll miss that about her."

So, can we all just agree that Lyanna Mormont is the best choice for the Iron Throne? Let her rule the Seven Kingdoms already!
