Wrong Number 2 just released its first teaser trailer and we're a little confused
Wrong Number 2, the sequel of the 2015 Yasir Nawaz flick recently released the movie's first teaser trailer.
From what we knew about the upcoming movie, Sami Khan and Neelam Muneer are supposed to be the main characters but the teaser tells a different story:
Javed Sheikh and Nawaz seem to be leading the show as it looks like they got the most screen time in the preview. Also, we didn't know much about the plot of the movie and the trailer didn't really help matters. It wasn't a coherent story-telling device, just a bunch of random "funny" scenes strung together. Then again, this is just a "teaser" (little long for one).
That said, they've got some incredible drone shots, so production value looks good. What we are interested in seeing is if Neelam and Sami have chemistry onscreen. In the second half of the trailer, we see a few cutesy moments between their characters. And also if Khan can do comedy well.
In an earlier interview with Images, Khan had revealed: "It's essentially a love story but the situations are a little odd for love; it's not that the characters have a funny sense of humour but it's the circumstances that make their actions and words funny. It's got a nice twist." Judging from the trailer, we think he'll manage to score some laugh out loud points.
Danish Nawaz, Shafqat Cheema and Nayyar Ejaz will return to feature in the new film.
Wrong Number 2 will release this Eid-ul-Fitr.
