News of the two Ghotki sisters who were allegedly forcibly converted from Hindusim and married to Muslim men has caused an uproar in the country.

Their case has been filed in the Islamabad High Court, but it seems there is much restlessness across the border regarding the issue. Minister of External affairs, India, Chowkidar Sushma Swaraj tweeted on the matter asking for details from Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry. However, it only resulted in banter.

Mawra Hocane stepped in to direct the conversation where it belonged: with the victims.

"While I attach this video I do realise that two wrongs DON’T make a right. Let’s not make this about protecting Hindu girls or Muslim families, let’s make this about protecting human lives across the subcontinent, across the world. It’s not about ministers, it’s about the public!" she tweeted.

The actor added, "It’s hard to go to sleep while SO MUCH is wrong with the World today. Especially when the People in power instead of finding a solution are giving fuel to the fire. I wonder what will be left for them when they do succeed in their self destructive agendas. STOP inculcating hate.
