While people are gradually becoming more comfortable talking about mental health, seeking therapy still seems to remain a bit of a taboo.

But here’s the reality: therapy is an incredibly useful tool that can help with a range of issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and much more. Research has shown that it’s incredibly effective in helping people manage mental health conditions and experts say that it’s worthwhile even if you don’t have a medical problem.

On World Mental Health Day, this is as good a time as any to take that next step towards caring for your psychological well being.

So if you've been toying with the idea of going into therapy but have been hesitant, watch this so you know all those nervous thoughts you're having are totally normal:

Reliability of the therapist is the key issue. How can you disclose your very intimate issues bothering you to your therapist without being absolutely sure of him/her being reliable with the information received during therapy?
