Shahid Kapoor and Mira Rajput welcome baby boy
Shahid Kapoor and wife Mira Rajput have welcomed a new member into their family!
The couple welcomed a baby boy on Wednesday night.
The actor had announced that Mira was expecting back in April through a super cute Instagram post:
While he has yet to reveal his son's name or picture, we know the little one joins big sister two-year-old Misha. (We hope this one's called Shahmir...gettit?)
Shahid and Mira tied the knot in 2015 and in a recent interview to Rajeev Masand, Shahid talked about his wife with a lot of love. “I got lucky. I married Mira,” he said. “She’s as normal as it gets. We kind of hit it off and decided to get into an arranged marriage. By God’s grace it’s been wonderful, the last three years, and she’s been a huge part of that for me.”
Kapoor has a lot on his plate: he's currently busy promoting his next film Batti Gul Meter Chalu and has begun his prep for the Hindi remake of a Telugu hit Arjun Reddy. He also has a biopic about Asian gold medalist boxer Dingko Singh in the pipeline. Sadly, he had shared that he can barely manage a week off once his second child is born.
Speaking to Mid Day, Shahid revealed, “During Misha’s birth [in 2016], I took a couple of months off. This time too, I was negotiating to take a month-long break, but things didn’t work out. I will get only a week off from work. It is too short a duration but such are the circumstances.”
