Here's how Sapphire paid 'Hommage' to Pakistan this Independence Day
Sapphire paid tribute to Pakistan this Independence Day with a special campaign; this included the launch of an exclusive Independence Day collection named Hommage, a plantation drive at Akhuwat University and an earth-friendly shopping bag lined with various types of seeds.
Here's a look at how each component of the campaign emboldened the spirit of patriotism this year:
1. The Hommage collection
Sapphire's Hommage collection featured five distinct designs on cambric, each representative of Pakistan's most cherished cultural elements including truck art, postage stamps, maps of Pakistan and the like.
Here's some detail on each of the designs:
- Sohni Dharti inspired by truck art design
- Jashn inspired by truck art and coins of Pakistan
- Chand Taara inspired by Pakistan's national flower, Jasmine
- Azaadi inspired by postage stamps of Pakistan
- 1947 inspired by the map of Pakistan; incorporating names of cities around the neck line
2. Plantation drive at Akhuwat University
For every kurta purchased from the Independence Day collection, Sapphire planted a tree in the customer’s name at Akhuwat University, which will soon be Pakistan’s first no-fee university with a residential facility.
