Vasay Chaudhry took a 14 hour flight to cast his vote

What's your excuse for not turning up on election day?
Updated 25 Jul, 2018

After Bilal Khan flew in from Toronto to cast his vote in his hometown of Lahore, basically making everyone missing election day look from bad to worse, Vasay Chaudhry also took to social media to share his own experience.

The Jawani Phir Nahi Ani actor also took a 14-hour-long flight just so he could vote, though he hasn't specified where from.

What's your excuse for not turning up on election day? If you haven't voted yet, there's still time; polling stations close at 6pm.

This is a mere waste of resources and time. If you are already out there, do you job. Donating this expense of this trip to a fund for benefit of the nation (dam?) would have been worth more (IMVHO). Unless you were to come back anyways and altered your trip to accommodate voting, then it's commendable. Otherwise just stupid and waste.

@Perplexed Presumably it's his money, what right does anyone have to tell him how to spend it? If his commitment to voting results in even a handful of Pakistanis being inspired to vote as well, then he's done a good job. There are millions of Pakistanis "wasting" their money on their own personal luxuries, why not start your campaign by chasing after them? Hasan

@Perplexed to choose your leader who would have the power to shape your future, it sounds commendable.

Perhaps if you had used celeb status to force ECP to allow overseas Pakistanis to vote who have been demanding this facility but to no avail. ECP is at fault. Millions of overseas Pakistanis cannot vote.
