Sanju shows the truth, says Sanjay Dutt

The actor is extremely impressed with Ranbir Kapoor's acting in the film

Who better than Sanjay Dutt to judge how true to life the biopic is?

Raking in a spectacular INR72.50 crore in just two days, Sanju is Ranbir Kapoor's top grossing film and it has left quite a mark on Sanjay.

"Ranbir (Kapoor) is extraordinary in the film. I think the film is fantastic and Raju ji (Rajkumar Hirani), Vicky Kaushal, and everybody has done a fantastic job. Whatever is the truth, has been shown in the film," the actor said.

Besides the man himself, other people who have watched the film, including Ranbir's girlfriend Alia Bhatt, are in awe of his latest offering.

“I really liked it. It is a fantastic, fabulous and an outstanding film. I think in my top 10 best film list, Sanju is high up there. Ranbir is outstanding in it. Vicky Kaushal and Paresh ji (Rawal) also did a fantastic job. Everyone including Anushka (Sharma) and Sonam (Kapoor) did really good job. It’s a full package." said the Highway star.

Other celebs like Aamir Khan, Karan Johar and Shabana Azmi have also praised the film.

Excellent movie!! Just watched yesterday. Many parts of Sanju’s life are still untouched. Sanju2 is in waiting.

Sanjat Datt is a good actor unfortunately marred with controversies during his career, Ranbir is also a positive actor as his father and mother.

Brilliant movie - Mr Hirani doesn't disappoint despite the very high bar that we set for his movies. Ranbir Kapoor is superb. Once again proves his versatality as an actor. With SRK fading away and Ranbir now proving a bigger draw at the box office than Salman bhai it looks like the beginning of a new era. And the two top contenders for the title of King of Bollywood seem to be Ranbir and Ranveer Singh both phenomenal talents in the league of Dileep Kumar and Big B. From an era of Khans will it be an era of Ranveers or should we spell it as Ranbirs.

It amuses me how indians simply ignore the crimes this men has committed and loves him ...he just got away cheap because of political support . Sanjay dutt should have been hanged for being a part of conspiracy that killed hundreds of innocent people , so many "families" died in the 1993 blast .
