Raju, Shyam and Baburao Ganpatrao Apte are coming back to the big screen!

For all Hera Pheri fans, this has to be one of the greatest news this year as the funny trio reunite after 12 years to bring Hera Pheri 3.

A source close to the project told Mumbai Mirror: "The project was locked last month after the three actors gave their dates. It will be shot in a start-to-finish schedule between December 2018 and February 2019 and will release in the second half of next year."

Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty are super revved to be working together again - the 'old friends' shared a selfie together on social media.

"This is not a throwback but takes me back to so many. As always was lovely catching up with one of my oldest friend and co-star @SunielVShetty today :)," wrote Akshay.

To which his partner in crime replied:

"Aye Raaaaajjjuuuu! Always such a pleasure to see you!!! So happy to be smiling together forever! @akshaykumar"

After the massive success of the first sequel, Neeraj Vora, the man behind the 2006 sequel, had confirmed the story and screenplay for a follow-up film, however he went into a coma last year and in December of that year passed away. The film's producer Firoz Nadiadwala has said that the third installment in the Hera Pheri franchise will be "a tribute to Neeraj’s work at the movies."

The film has tentatively been titled Hera Pheri 3 and stars Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal.
