Karan Johar will 'happily' welcome Kangana Ranaut on his new show

If you remember, the two had a falling out on Koffee with Karan last year and things got rather ugly

Has Karan Johar let go of his spat with Kangana? In the professional sphere, perhaps.

KJo's upcoming talent show India's Next Superstars set to premiere mid-Jan will see the director and Rohit Shetty as judges as well as other celebrity guest judges. When asked whether he'd invite Kangana as a judge on the show, he said he had no qualms.

"I am sure when Star Plus invites her we will be happy to have her. Our heart is big, our house is open to all. We will happily, lovingly and respectfully welcome her on the show," said Karan.

Last year the two had a falling out on Karan's show Koffee With Karan when the Queen star called him out (and the Hindi entertainment industry at large) for nepotism. This not only caused a stir among the Bollywood fraternity but also created a rift among many stars and lines were immediately drawn.

Instinctively the tagline of the show Na Khaandaan Na Sifaarish would make one think it's a dig at Kangana for her comment, but Karan clarified that it had nothing to do with their tiff. "I don’t think this tagline was an answer from my side to anything. Lots of people want to be part of the entertainment industry but it is difficult to find a platform. We are providing this platform to all those who are talented."

Talking about the show and defining the term superstar, he said: "It is difficult to define superstar, if we knew the meaning then there would be millions of superstars. It's a feeling that an actor and audience has. It is organic."

"You don't know why you love Shah Rukh Khan or Amitabh Bachchan or Sridevi or Madhuri Dixit. It is something that they all bring on celluloid and the way they connect with the audience. They have an instant family connect with the audience."

'India's Next Superstars' hopes to find fresh talent and Karan plans on doing justice to the show.

"Our job as a director is to find talent and with this show we are just going to continue doing that. Our aim is to provide new talent to the industry. There is a responsibility so we will be both a friend and a hard taskmaster. We might have to scold them at times when needed."

The two of them are becoming more and more irrelevant by the day. Would like to see Kangna involved more in the industry as a film producer and perhaps director.

Kangana looks like she is her 40's. This is what BW is , constant scandals. I hope pak film industry ,that is emerging, should learn from the pitfalls of BW, and create a better environment for artists and all the people that works in show Bizz!
