It's been three years since we've seen Rani Mukerji on the big screen.

She makes her comeback in Hichki, which follows a school teacher with Tourette syndrome (Rani) as she struggles to get her low-income students the same treatment as their more privileged peers at an elite school in Mumbai.

Watch the trailer here:

What's more is that Rani is also reported to be making her social media debut with this film. The actor will join Twitter, Instagram and Facebook, and will keep her fans updated about Hichki as well as her life.

Rani's fans are delighted that her hiatus is over and they appear to think her portrayal of a person with Tourette's is authentic:

Hichki, produced by Aditya Chopra and directed by Siddharth P Malhotra, will release on February 23, 2018.

I love Rani Mukherjee, she's one of the finest actresses of Bollywood. She is among those actresses to whom acting comes naturally. What the veteran actress has to offer in the movie is something I have my fingers crossed. Her association with Yash Raj movies isn't something new and has always done wonders just like Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and kabhee alvida ne kehna. Hopefully her come back in the movie will turn out to be good, and if I happen to like the movie, will definitely be writing its review on my blog. So, let's see if Rani Mukherjee's come back in movies is going to give her fans adrenaline rush as it used to in past

I still can't get over the role she played in movie Black. Absolutely brilliant. The role established her as a fine actress, par excellence. Let's see what she does in Hichki.

I thought kids with tourette's. Once you get over the shock of them making faces at you and swearing at you, they are beautiful kids . They really were sweethearts.

Hopefully, she takes to meaningful roles and makes an impact as a "Thinking Actress" !!! However, she shouldn't be seen as a Vidya Balan copycat !!! Hichkiyan sounds a good movie ...

That hiccups looked very made up, also the story looks similar to the Ron Clarke Story. But again any movie that highlights the plight of a disadvantaged group is welcomed
