Ayaz Samoo will debut as sitcom writer with Main Aur Tum sequel
Ayaz Samoo of Moor fame will be seen on TV screens in his comic element with the sequel of ARY's Main Aur Tum sitcom that hooked audiences some 10 years ago.
While speaking to Images, Samoo said he is not only acting in the drama series but it's also his first venture as a writer.
Main Aur Tum revived the comedy scene on television with veteran actors like Faisal Qureshi and Aijaz Aslam playing the lead characters that never got along.
"Before there were two people who used to kick up a storm, now there will be three," Samoo said, adding that actors Faizan Sheikh and Aadi Adeal Amjad will be seen in the lead roles.
"Faizan is playing Faisal Bhai's son and Adi is playing Aijaz Bhai's son. I am their childhood friend from Karachi," Samoo shared.
The plot of the sequel revolves around Faizan and Adi who used to live in Dubai but were deported to Karachi. The incident reunites the three musketeers but the reason remains a mystery, which Ayaz says we'll know once the sitcom goes on air.
Humayun Saeed, Faisal Qureshi, Kubra Khan, Yasir Hussain and Saboor Ali among others will be seen making guest appearances in the episodes.
The characters are different in nature from their predecessors, Samoo said, adding the Main Aur Tum 2.0 is scheduled to air around Eid on ARY Digital.
The drama has been directed by Mohsin Ali and is an IDream Production.
