The teaser for Hareem Farooq's 'Parchi' is here and we're intrigued
Earlier this year we got wind of the fact that Janaan producers, Hareem Farooq and Imran Kazmi were joining hands yet again, for a comedy this time.
Well, the wait's over because we've got our first look at Parchi.
The teaser was first unveiled in cinemas at the end of Janaan but has now made its way to the internet. The 23-second-long clip shows Hareem Farooq, looking like someone you don't want to mess with, and Kazmi all battered up.
We're feeling a little confused though. Why does she have a toothpick in her mouth like that? Why did she beat up Imran? Is she going to be playing a hooligan? We've got so many questions but it seems like we're going to have to wait a little longer to get any more info.
Speaking to Images in January, Kazmi had revealed: "We're trying to incorporate a lot of things that have not been done before and are also rather difficult. We don't even know if we can pull them off. But let's see."
He added that although it was a comedy feature, "the content will have a serious and deeper meaning."
Hareem Farooq and Ali Rehman Khan will be playing the lead roles and the man behind Janaan, Azfar Jafri will be directing. Parchi will tentatively hit theatres by the end of this year.
