Saif Ali Khan has a theory of the universe and wants you to know

Step into the mind of this Bollywood star, a place where filmstars are horses and aristocrats are the best people ever
21 Jul, 2017

At the just-held IIFA Awards this year, Karan Johar, Varan Dhawan and Saif Ali Khan took digs at fellow actor Kangana Ranaut for criticising KJo for his nepotism.

Read more: Varun Dhawan, Saif Ali Khan and Karan Johar defend nepotism, take a dig at Kangana at IIFA 2017

While he says he's privately apologised to Kangana in case he offended her, Saif's been sharing some baffling theories about the inner workings of Bollywood: he's insisted in an initial interview that the industry isn't plagued by nepotism, instead he believes that "maybe there is something in the genes that makes many of Raj Kapoor’s descendants actors or Pataudis cricketers. I think it’s actually eugenics and genetics that’s coming into play."

The press's reaction to this statement was unsurprisingly 'Err, what?!'.

But Saif Ali Khan insists he's right.

Writing a new open letter published today on DNAIndia, Saif's sketched a whole new world that has us wondering what's he's been reading.

This is the world according to Saif Ali Khan:

1) He thinks eugenics means 'well born'.

Last we checked eugenics referred to the study of/belief in the systematic suppression of a certain kind of people in favour of people who possess qualities considered desirable by the suppressor. Yeahhh. Kind of what happened in Germany in World War II.

But I guess Google, dictionaries, and a high school education doesn't exist in Saif's world.

In fact, in Saif's world, it's totally okay to classify people as well-born or not. Guess we know why he's into eugenics.

2) He believes filmstars are like race horses.

Um, not really.

3) He doesn't ever remember anyone calling out Trump for nepotism.

Oh Saif, poor you. Also read all of this stuff.

4) He thinks he has government systems all figured out.

He knows his cracies, people! And no, he insists he's not cracy.

So what's the best political system? Aristocracy + Meritocracy is where Saif's vote's at.

5) He thinks getting work because of his mother isn't nepotism.

We have a headache.

6) Genetic investments are a thing, people.

Gotta look into those.

7) At least he understands what stupidity is.

Its an acting industry not 'good-looking' industry. You'd hope that good actors get more jobs than good looking people. Besides, in our countries the idea of 'good looks' is associated with 'fair' skin colour. Thanks to Aryan Invasion theory which has been debunked now.

His answers are outrageous. But that doesn't matter as long as he has a cushion of money to shield himself from the shocks of intellectual bankruptcy. Unfortunately for him and his gang , as the time passes it will get harder and harder for their next generation to maintain that monetary cushion without earning knowledge.

Saif Ali Khan. Please migrate to Pakistan. This is your natural country and home. We will welcome you, and not make fun of you like the Indians are doing. India does not deserve you.

@Rahul There isn't iota of truth in it. Since Smita, Rekha, Ajay Devgan, Sunil Shetty , Bipasha etc came from same Industry. And now their kids will get lead roles over outsiders, because of their "names". None of them fall in your list. Nepotism is filling the industry with with your own people and family members. Color of skin, good looks got nothing to do with it.

There is a degree of difference and reason between meritocracy and mediocrity. Can we compare the outputs of these genetically well selected to the globally accepted standards.

For the record, both SAK and Dawn IMAGES staff are mistaken in their understanding of eugenics. Oxford Dictionary defines eugenics as "The science of improving a population by controlled breeding to increase the occurrence of desirable heritable characteristics". Just because Nazis used this term for their torturing experiments does not mean you define eugenics in a politically loaded way.

It is the "Entitlement" feeling at work. Some people feel they are entitled to some Privileges because they were born in The "Families". It is like Dynastic Families with uneducated voters. Like Rahul Gandhi thinks that he should have been the PM because he is born in Nehru-Gandhi family.

Saif, you've lost it! Go and drink some Assam Chai chill in the mountains while you breath some fresh air. You badly need it. Time to get out of Cracy Bollywood for a while. You will come back with an entirely new theory, I'm sure!
