Malala Yousafzai joins Twitter now that she's a high school graduate

Not surpisingly, she racked up over 450,000 followers in less than 24 hours!

Five years ago, Malala Yousafzai was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman for going to school.

Yesterday, Yousafzai finished high school in England. And now that school's out, the Nobel Peace Prize winner has joined Twitter!

Hey girl!

She went on to call for support on micro-blogging website for educating more girls worldwide, sharing that the occasion was bittersweet, bringing excitement for the future along with the knowledge that millions of girls around the world would never get the chance to complete their educations.

As if graduating from high school wasn't reason enough to celebrate, Malala has been offered a place at the prestigious Oxford University for her undergraduate studies where she has chosen to study Philosophy, Politics and Economics.

Not surprisingly, she racked up over 450,000 followers in less than 24 hours and within hours, global leaders such as Canadian president Justin Trudeau and UN secretary-general Antonio Guterres extended a warm welcome to the 19-year-old.

Surprisingly she also knows how to #Hashtag and how to mention or reply on Twitter. And most interestingly her twitter account also have blue badge on its first day.

@Sohail Wazir It's almost like she possesses the average human intelligence that's required to use twitter properly. More than I could say for you judging by your surprised reaction.

How many school girls wounded in attacks by terrorists in Pakistan have been airlifted to the UK for treatment and given residency there ? Any answer ?

Still think there is something fishy about her case. Another girl was shot, but only she gained fame. Maybe she did this to get a visa
