It's nearly time for the most glamourous night in Bollywood, yep, it's IIFA time!

The awards will be held in the Big Apple this time around aka New York for the very first time, reports Indian Express.

Diljit Dosanjh will be kickstarting the show this year. The actor-singer who gained national fame after his performance in Abhishek Chaubey’s Udta Punjab and now, the Anushka Sharma starrer Phillauri is all set to perform again this July. will give another dashing performance this July.

Talking to the media, Dosanjh said, “I’m really excited to be a part of IIFA for the second year in a row! I look forward to my performance at IIFA Rocks and am excited to be a part of this grand celebration and to share the platform with such talented artists. IIFA Festival New York 2017 is definitely going to be a magical experience.”

The event will also mark Academy Award winner AR Rahman’s 25 years in the industry along with power packed performances by Benny Dayal, Javed Ali, Neeti Mohan, Jonita Gandhi, and Haricharan Seshadri

As if that wasn't enough, we've also got performances by Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Katrina Kaif, Shahid Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput, and Kriti Sanon to look forward to.

And let's not forget, IIFA has also been the platform that brings together international superstars and Bollywood stars. International superstars like Angelina Jolie, Jackie Chan, Thora Birch, Kylie Minogue, John Travolta, Hilary Swank and Kevin Spacey among others have graced that stage. We wonder which star they've got up their sleeve this year.

The IIFA awards will be held on July 14 and 15.

Asians should put better show like Oscar Awards with this opportunity. Huge opportunity for USA sponsors and worldwide transmitting channels. Sometimes Red Carpet is hotter than main event as individual actor interviews are possible. With Seven hosts for Red Carper the event may be more royal.
