First trailer of Deepika's xXx: Return of Xander Cage is out and we feel betrayed
The teasers tickled our fancy but the first trailer failed to live up to the hype.
Let's be honest, we were excited to see Deepika Padukone more than anything else (and maybe some chemistry between Xander Cage and Serena), but the trailer missed out on everything that the teasers promised.
The minute-and-a-half trailer contains lots of action that introduces the main lead, Xander Cage, but only snippets of the rest of the cast, including Deepika's five seconds of fame.
We only get to see her thrice in the much-anticipated trailer:
1) When she's throwing the knife, which we saw in one of the teasers
2) When she's holding a gun in her hand
And...
3) When she is seen with Ruby Rose, which was also in one of the teasers
Having said that, the action-packed trailer does leave one excited. Here's to hoping we see more of the Bollywood beauty in the second trailer.
xXx: Return of Xander Cage will hit theatres on January 20th, 2017.
