Here's a rundown of what's happening in Karachi and Lahore this Chaand Raat

Eid is right around the corner and celebrations are in full swing.

Malls, NGOs and dhabbas have planned different events for chaand raat, and whether you're looking for a place to go get mehndi done, or just have a chai and chill session, we give you a rundown of what's happening in the two most happening cities of the country; Karachi and Lahore.


Karachi


1) Dolmen Mall

Lots of brand activation happening here. If you missed out on a mobile at Aamir Liaquat’s show, don’t fret, the QMobile stall is giving away mobiles every few hours.

Makeup City is providing free mehndi on any one side of your palm.

Dolmen Bazaar: Besides the usual shopping there is a Dolmen bazaar near OPTP, it has been running since the last 10 days of Eid and will end on Chaand Raat. If you want Bombay bakery cakes this is where you want to be. The bazaar will have an assortment of things like hair extensions, truck art khussas, jewelry, small gift items for Eid, etc.

Bonus: Bond Street Waffles just opened up there, it’s near Al Karam.

Mall Timing: 11am-4am

2) Ocean Mall

Lucky Draw: Spend Rs5000 on shopping and you could win home appliances or better yet, two return tickets to Dubai. The lucky draw winners will be placed on chaand raat.

OR

Khul Ja Sim Sim: If you enjoy watching Fahad Mustafa’s game show, you’ll love this. Spend Rs10,000 and choose any one box from 20 and you’ll win whatever is inside the box. Everyone’s a winner on chaand raat.

There’s free mehndi by Makeup City and another mehndi booth organized by the mall where you’ll have to pay.

Ocean Bazaar: Been going on for the last 15 days and will end on Chaand Raat, it offers bangles, clothes and shoes.

3) Behenchara Corner by Girls at Dhabas

If you’re in the mood for chai and chill, hop over to NMC for some good tea and behenchara. They’ll have kettles full of hot tea waiting for you.

Location: Next to National Medical Center parking lot

Time: 8pm-11pm


Lahore


1) Chaand Raat Party at SOS Children’s Village

Charity always goes a long way. The purpose of this event is so that people can donate and celebrate chaand raat with the SOS children. Donations can be in the form of

  • Funds
  • Stationery
  • Storybooks and/ colouring books
  • DVDs of children’s animated movies
  • New or second-hand clothes and shoes in good/clean condition for any season
  • Jewellery and accessories for girls
  • Snacks and beverages
  • New or second-hand toys (for ages four and above)
  • Sports gear for young athletes

Or anything you feel would benefit these kids and put a smile on their faces.

Time: 5:30pm-9:30pm

2) Fortress Square Eid Festival

A family festival that started on the 1st of June and will run till Chaand Raat. The rooftop of Fortress Square Shopping Mall includes a fashion lounge featuring top designer brands, food stalls, makeup area, kids play area, accessories and merchandise, live performances and other fun activities.

Ticket price: Rs100

Timings: 6pm-12am

3) Behenchara Corner by Girls at Dhabas

These girls are also offering chai in Lahore. Make sure to grab yourselves some hot tea in between your shopping.

Location: In front of Saeed Ghani in Dupatta Gali, Liberty Market

Time: 8pm-11pm
