Will Fawad Khan play Sahir Ludhianvi in his next Bolly film?

While Irrfan Khan has long been associated with the Sanjay Leela Bhansali biopic of Indian poet Sahir Ludhianvi, latest reports suggest that Fawad Khan may have swiped that role from him.
According to Filmfare, the Pakistani heartthrob and Bollywood diva Parineeti Chopra will reportedly be seen together in the upcoming film, Gustakhiyaan.
The film is based on the life of Indian poet Sahir Ludhianvi with a focus on his romance with fellow poet Amrita Pritam. The film will show the progression of Sahir's life, from his early 20s to his 40s and 50s.
The filmmakers feel that Fawad is better suited to playing the role of a younger Sahir than Irrfan, and so have approached the Kapoor & Sons star.
On the other hand, Priyanka Chopra had been said to play the role of Amrita Pritam. However, due to her tight schedule she wasn't able to take the role and it has now been passed on to PeeCee's cousin Parineeti Chopra.
The film was to go on floors mid-2016, but has been postponed till September this year.
