Just what exactly is SRK and Alia Bhatt's relationship in Gauri Shinde's next?
They said that SRK and Alia Bhatt's 'romance' in Gauri Shinde's next film won't be "typical", and now we have some proof.
According to Filmfare, a string of lads will be seen wooing Alia Bhatt, and the latest to join that lucky clan is Aditya Roy Kapur, who plays a musician and furniture dealer "who’s passionate about two things in life; love and music".
According to earlier reports in Filmfare, Ali Zafar will also woo Alia at some point in the film, as will Rang De Basanti actor Kunal Kapoor.
Moreover, Alia will also find an admirer in lesser known actor Angad Bedi, who's previously worked in films like Ungli and F.A.L.T.U..
So where does the much older Shah Rukh Khan fit in this mix? While eyebrows were earlier raised about the age gap between the two stars, it appears that the director was right in insisting that their 'romance' will be anything but conventional.
SRK will be a man who helps Alia figure out how to find love in her life, says Filmfare. While it is a key role, it's nothing near the romantic lead that he was earlier assumed to be.
Alia herself plays a filmmaker who is script-hunting for a short film.
The film will be shot in Goa with some few portions in Mumbai as well. It is being directed by Gauri Shinde of English Vinglish fame.
