Urwa Hocane and Bushra Ansari to get musical in next TV drama
New TV drama Udari will see the likes of Bushra Ansari and Urwa Hocane star as street singers.
Directed by Ehteshamuddin of Sadqay Tumhare fame, the musical drama also stars Rehan Sheikh, Samiya Mumtaz, Ahsan Khan and Farhan Saeed.
Urwa describes her character as "a simple village girl with an extraordinary destiny, for which [she] had to work on [her] accent as well."
"My director Ehtisham is a super guide. I am having an amazing time working with the entire cast," she said of the experience.
Shot in Mir Pur Khas, Udari will have a distinctly rustic look:
The locals also proved to be very hospitable hosts:
"It's going to be a very energetic serial," added Rehan Sheikh, who makes a special appearance with Bushra Ansari as a "maraasi".
Udari is currently in production, and will take a few months to complete, according to Sheikh.
