Comedian Danish Ali finds a cure to VIP culture in this hilarious video

Danish drives the point home that VIP culture is a pest that's better left in the past
13 Feb, 2016

We've all been there — stuck in a traffic jam while a VIP protocol races past or shoved aside at a festival when a politician's entourage pushes its way through the crowd.

Recent events like the death of a child outside Civil Hospital in Karachi while Bilawal Bhutto was inaugurating an adjoining trauma center have pushed people to protest against what they see is a blatant abuse of power.

Of course, you can shed light on the abuse of VIP protocols by staging a sit-in... or you can be like comedian Danish Ali and make a satirical video that mocks 'VIPs' and is totally hilarious to boot.

Watch the video:

In the video Danish makes as aware of an amazing product, the 'VIP Helmet' — which, when worn, will confer upon you all the privileges of being a VIP in Pakistan. With its flashing lights and a siren that goes 'woo, woo' this helmet makes sure you'll be treated like the don you are.

According to Danish, this helmet is for you if a) you've been passed over for a promotion because your chacha is not a minister b) you have a double masters but you still get less respect than a VIP uncle's son

According to Danish, this helmet is for you if a) you've been passed over for a promotion because your chacha is not a minister b) you've been stuck in traffic due to a VIP protocol and 'aap ko bathroom bhi aa raha hai' c) you're regularly harassed by the police d) you have a double masters but you still get less respect than a VIP uncle's son.

Among other things, this ingenious helmet will help you commit bank fraud with ease and cut lines wherever you go. Better yet, it also shields your loved ones, allowing your significant other to harangue poor shopkeepers and your child to play with other VIP offspring.

Using satire, Danish Ali makes sure to drive the point home: that VIP culture is a pest that's better left in the past. In fact, this might be his best work yet.

What do you think?

This was brilliant i-your-face comedy / satire.......along with the helmet a V.I.P needs the skin of a Rhinoceros.

Great. I love the satire. Unless we show disrespect for VIP culture this will keep kicking off.

If PAK get the digitization implemented (online portals, online registration, online ordering, online payments, online banking, online learning, online applications) and additional technological setups with cheap Internet-lines & power supplies (end of load shedding) by 2017, then by 2020 we will not need to move abroad - but rather move back and reinvest in PAK. And, we'll not bribe people nor will VIP's have that much value. No one cares about MNA's or even ministers in Europe..

I hope this evil menace of VIP culture ends in Pakistan. All citizens need to be treated with respect. No VIPs should be allowed....whether they be politicians/foreigners/military/arab hunters/etc.. Show some decency u VIPs and act like human beings..

Great! Let's debate if your VIPs are more important or ours in India. Ours can stop ambulances, school children going for board examinations, can delay flights indefinitely, board premium trains anywhere and throw passengers out, disobey traffic rules, can trespass in your property, lose temper at will for no reason, can watch porn in state assembly, can get out of scams in no time, influence justice and continue with their VIP status in jails too. I bet Danish if you can match or else please come here and another one here for us. Cheers

Apparently, everyone condemns VIP culture. But who is going to bell the cat? Till that time VIPs will continue to have a great time at everyone's expense.

Either you are a VIP or a VIP wannabe. There is hardly anyone in Pakistan who is for true justice and rule of law when it comes to applying in their own lives.
