Must watch: Aditya Roy Kapur and Katrina Kaif sizzle in Fitoor's new trailer

When it was first announced that Aditya Roy Kapur was being paired with Katrina Kaif for Siddharth Roy Kapur's much-awaited adaptation of Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, eyebrows were raised.

In the recently revealed Fitoor trailer, the duo has proven that it was a wise casting decision.

The intense and broody artist Noor, and his muse, Firdaus, are childhood friends who seem to share a bond that is more than platonic. However, her mother, Begum, played by Tabu, isn't too happy with the idea of the two of them falling in love.

Suffering from a broken heart, the bitter spinster sets on a path to unleash vengeance on all men vicariously through her daughter.

Tabu impresses the most in the nearly three minute long trailer, looking absolutely terrifying in her retro avatar in some frames and we're loving the fiery red locks on both leading ladies.

Aditya and Katrina look great together onscreen; there's no denying it. That being said, Kaif's British accent occasionally seeps into her dialogues, impacting the delivery. As far as Kapur is concerned, we all know he plays the lovesick, tortured artist well, if his role in Aashiqui 2 was any indication.

We're hoping that Fitoor won't be the typical orphan boy meets wealthy girl love story.

The movie is slated for release on 12 February 2016.

The script is adapted but the scenes must have been copied from more than 1 Hollywood movie.

Bollywood is back to Kashmir now. "Bajrangi Bhaijaan" was shot in Kashmir and so was Haider. This is a great trend. Once you have 20-30 Bollywood movies being shot there every year, all will be well.

from trailer seems that movie might be to some extent inspired from the Charles Dickens novel Great Expectation.

I love this trailer, Aditya is fantastic artist in this type of role and Tabu has major star power!! The beautiful backdrop seems breathtaking! Katrina seems like she will be a winner in this role.
