If there is anything that can put smiles on faces of Bollywood fans, it's got to be a reunion of the two best buddies from Sholay, Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra, or should we say Jai and Veeru. Set to be televised on the final episode of Big B's show Aaj Ki Raat Hai Zindagi, both won the hearts of their fans again, reported The Indian Express.

The actors amicably honoured the 40-year-old bond of Jai and Veeru from the cult classic as the two came in on their iconic bike with a sidecar while the popular friendship anthem 'Ye Dosti Hum Nahi Toraingay' played in the background.

Bachchan also shared the photos on his Facebook. Nostalgia was evident in his caption: "Jab Viru aur Jai mile ‪#‎AKRHZ‬ pe ...toh "ye dosti hum nahin todenge" ...ban hi gaya .. 40 saal ho gaye lekin abhi bhi ye prachalit .. bahut kam aisa dekhne ko milta hai ..mera suabhagya ..!! Kya din the wo bhi .. !!"

He added that such moments were a rarity and 'those were the days".

Released in 1975, the film is considered one of the best Indian cinema has produced with its characters and dialogues usually taken as references in films as well as everyday conversations.

The last episode of the show will also see Dharmendra's son Sunny Deol, Vazir actor Farhan Akhtar and Sonam Kapoor.
