Intimate scenes don't appeal to my audience back home, says Fawad

Fawad Khan opens up about his issue with intimate scenes in his latest interview with Filmfare

It's true, people. Fawad Khan refused to do Battle of Bittora – a comedy film opposite Sonam Kapoor, with a screenplay written by her sister Rhea – partly because of the intimate scenes in the film.

He explains his decision in more expansive terms in his latest interview with Filmfare:

"Doing intimate scenes is something I’m uncomfortable with right now. I’ve mentioned that a couple of times before as well," said Fawad.

He continued, "...Because it will not appeal to the sensibilities of my audience back home. I have to go back and work there. I won’t be a girgit (chameleon) and change my colours just because I’m working here. Well, that’s my point of view."

So there you have it, folks. Fawad's clear about his boundaries, and has no problems working within them. We'll next see Fawad in Kapoor & Sons, opposite Alia Bhatt, Siddharth Malhotra and Rishi Kapoor.

Bravo. at-least he has the courage to speak truth. And yes audience back home dont like intimates seasons because this does not represent our culture

I don't know what he means by intimate scenes. There are no intimate scenes in Hindi films, mostly. Also, I want to tell Pakistani friends not to make such a huge hue and cry about Fawad Khan. He is extremely handsome no doubt...but the fact is that he has released just one movie and that movie did not make much money. It did average business. Lest see how Fawad fares in ten or fifteen movies. Lets see if he can carry a movie on his shoulders and earn money for his producers and distributors.

@Gaurav Arya The reason behined 'That ' flop movie was Sonam Kapoor's worst acting . Not Fawad ... com'on You know the fact. I wish to see him working with Kangna Ranut. She is the only actress in your Actress brigade

I think fawad is wise enough to act accordingto the wishes of his own people. A true son of the soil should demonstrate an intimate relation with his culture n traditions.

@Gaurav Arya Actually the fact is that Fawad Khan has thousands if not millions of fans in Pakistan. Just because he is new to you and your country doesnt mean he hasnt been front and center of Pakistani plays and to some extent music scene. To you he has done just one movie but to Pakistanis he has been in just about every other hit drama series.
