Would like Salman Khan to play my role in biopic, says Shoaib Akhtar

After Sultan, Shoaib might have become a fan of the Bollywood superstar

Pakistan's Rawalpindi Express seems to be smitten by Bollywood actor Salman Khan.

According to NDTV, the former cricketer said that if there is ever a biopic on him, he would like his role to be played by B-Town's superstar Salman Khan.

"I'd like to see Salman Khan playing my role in the biopic, if that happens" quipped Shoaib Akhtar,

Of late Bollywood has seen an influx in biopics based on sports persons, but Akhtar believes it is up to filmmakers to decide whether his life is 'interesting' enough to be made into a film.

"I know that is the trend these days, but I am no one to decide that. If people think that my life is interesting and inspiring, then they can make a movie out of it. If not, then let it be. It is for fans and filmmakers to decide," he added.

Akhtar is all set to judge a comedy show together with Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh.

Is he suggesting that his life/story is so interesting that a biopic be made out of it? Salman would most certainly be the most suitable person to play his role as both of them share common attitude/values such as arrogance, lack of regard for law and women. In fact, viewers would be in doubt whether salman is acting a role or just playing his life.

This person takes himself too seriously. Now he is asking people to make a movie on his life. He is dying for attention.

An absolute talent, with firing speed and deadly swing was lethal on the ground. Off the ground he is so big hearted, humorous. His Hindi commentary with sehwag is loved the most.

what has he achieved in his cricketing career? did he win a 50 over wc? 20 wc? made Pakistan no 1 in the test? Maybe you should do your own role in the biopic..

Are you suggesting, Shoaib, that your life is worth depicting on the big screen? You must be joking! No matter what your records or achievements may be, you certainly do not deserve to get a place in the Bollywood record books. Moreover, Salman would never agree to such a proposal, anyway, because he does not have an athletic physique at this age. So, your overture could only be taken as a fascination and nothing else......sorry!

A case of self delusion, man has become a legend in his own mind. As far as I remember, he was nothing but a disruptive player in the team.

@Freeman : Overrated ? Have you even played club cricket ? Both Afridi and Akhtar are our super stars, they may not have been the role model everyone wants, but each has been a brand on their own. Their presence ont he field has generated mega $ for PCB in revenue over the years. Pakitan has become a graveyard of ungrateful critics that hold no limits to criticize any one, except their own self. Please give them the credit they deserve and curse the politicians that have ruined everything via safarish and corruption.
