The shoot is currently underway in Istanbul with both the stars and the designer's team.

The Pakistan-Turkey collaborations don't seem to be going anywhere anytime soon; after Khaadi roped in Esra Bilgic, now fashion designer Maria B. has jumped on the bandwagon — but with a twist.

For her upcoming lawn collection, the Lahore-based designer has chosen not one but two megastars for the campaign: one from Pakistan, the talented Ayeza Khan; and the other from (you guessed it) Turkey, Gülsim Ali of Dirilis: Ertugrul fame.

"We have superstars from both countries. It's going to be amazing," says Maria alongside her two brand ambassadors in a video.

The promotion of her lawn collection has been in the works since some weeks now, with Maria teasing fans with clues of who would feature in her campaign. In snippets on social media, we can see her team strolling through gorgeous Istanbul, checking out the sites and sounds of the city.

She first revealed Khan as one of the faces for her campaign and then Ali joined the crew.

"This girl is so beautiful, her heart is so nice," Maria says in one of the videos featuring the Turkish star.

"I am so grateful to be here with you. Pakistan, we love you. Thank you so much for your love," Ali, who plays Aslihan Hatun on the acclaimed Turkish series Ertuğrul, says in her message.

Khan also shared a photo on her Instagram, expressing gratitude to both Maria and Ali. "Proud to be a part of this campaign, there is power and beauty in unity, we shine brighter when we shine together," the Meray Pass Tum Ho star wrote. "More power to you girls."

In another post, Khan called her Turkish counterpart "beautiful" and immediately got a reply from Ali: "You’re so so beautiful Ayeza." More power to these women building each other up, we say!

The designer previously launched her winter collection with another Ertugrul star, Turkish actor Didem Balcin, who plays the character of Selcan Hatun.

We're keeping a watch on Maria B.'s account for some more beautiful shots of Turkey featuring the talented and beautiful Pak-Turk duo!

It is tragic that Maria B could not find any young model in her own country. Such are the people who degrade their own country.

Pakistan and Turkey are full of beautiful people. More interaction is needed to expand business and share culture between the two countries. Long live Pakistan Turkey friendship.

As much as i love Turkey and its dramas, i think only our Pakistani models would do justice to our kameez and kurtas! We have amazing faces in our industry so why go anywhere else!? Also, Aizza shouldn't wear light contacts.. looks fake!

So we cannot find models among 220m people who can help sell Pakistani dresses to predominantly Pakistani buyers. I think we are going too overboard with this Turkish thing getting b grade actors and models to make millions from our country.

@M. Emad Don’t see any Bangladeshi businesses lining up to do business or to collaborate on projects in Pakistan? Nothing wrong with some collaboration with a brotherly country like Turkey with which one shares more than just religion and language origins.

Good for Pakistan if some of the modernism and liberal nature of Turkey rubs on our awam and they stop being so conservative and fanatic about religion

@Shah But there is no similarity in looks between the Turkish model and the Pakistani one who can easily pass of as Indian or Bangladeshi.
