If there's one thing we learned in 2020 - apart from the importance of wearing a mask not just to protect yourself but those around you (sorry, had to be said) - it's that Pakistan loves Dirilis Ertugrul.

Hadiqa Kiani is one of many who loves the show enough to pay tribute by performing a song in Turkish. And does she deliver!

Kiani performs the track Sen Ağlama wonderfully and guess what? This isn't the first time she's sung it!

According to the singer, "As a child, I represented Pakistan in the International Children's Festival in Turkey and in 2005 I returned to the great country to once again represent Pakistan at the iconic Ataturk Cultural Center and Opera House. The highlight of that trip was to sing the hauntingly beautiful "Sen Aglama" (a Turkish song by living legend Sezen Aksu) to a standing ovation, the love I felt from the country of Turkey was unmatched."

"I remember telling the audience that as Turkey stood beside Pakistan in good and bad times, I wanted to convey the love of Pakistani people for the Turks."

Talk about full circle!

"The friendship between the two countries will continue to shine through culture, art and love."

Kiani claims this to be the first time a Pakistani singer has performed a Turkish track and now we're expecting more such songs to release!
