Game of Thrones latest teaser shows us the aftermath of the Great War

Winter is here at Winterfell and we don't like what that means

HBO has been launching a series of teasers for the upcoming season of Game of Thrones and the latest one is grim.

The 70-second clip shows Winterfell in ruins and not a soul in sight.

We're stumped because it can mean one of two things. Either Winterfell has been abandoned so that all the troops rally and fight further south... or everyone has been defeated.

While the teaser gives us a small horrific glimpse and lets us set our theories loose, it is still minimalistic compared to the two official promos released a day before it, which have much more reveals such as Daenarys coming to Winterfell, Sansa seeing the dragons for the first time and more on the Great War to come.

Titled 'Together' and 'Survival' the two promos bring up the subjects that closed with the last season lead way to the finale with; Everyone putting their differences aside for the big battle ahead, while some care about surviving the winter and the war.

The final season of Game of Thrones begins airing on April 14.
