Yep, you read that right — the actor will feature as a woman in the Eid telefilm 'JIT'

Fakhr-e-Alam is returning to acting in a comedy telefilm on Eid — and he's making up for lost time by playing not one character, but two.

Titled JIT after the names of the three brothers in the film, Jimmy, Immy and Timmy, the singer will be playing two roles; one of the brothers and the mother of all three!

"The telefilm is about three brothers, three very different characters living in the same house," he tells Images. "I'm playing one of the brothers Immy, while Aijaz Aslam and Faysal Qurashi are playing the other brothers."

About his viral picture, in which he's seen wearing makeup and pink shalwar kameez, he reiterates that it's a "woman's getup, who is the mother of the three brothers. So I'm also playing the mother - I have two roles."

If you thought that's confusing, there's more: Fakhr-e-Alam's role as the brother extends to more than just one character.

"Immy's a wannabe politician but is a total loser. He has a party, which has four people in it; a chairman, a co-chairman, a president and a general secretary and all four of them are Immy himself," he adds.

Written and directed by Faisal Mehmood Khan, the script and cast caught Fakhr-e-Alam's attention and he readily signed the project.

"I was offered a lot of acting assignments for many years and I haven't been able to commit to anything, but this script was really funny and I get to star with two of my really good friends and heavyweights in the acting industry."

Explaining his comeback to the screen after "almost a decade", the singer says it's all part of a strategy.

"I'm becoming active again because I'll be pushing my technology platforms EzDaam and EzVdo. It's a strategy to bring myself back into the market and push my technology platforms at the same time, works perfectly in-sync together."

The singer has quite a few projects lined up come Eid. He will be releasing the sequel to his rap song 'Shikwa Pakistani' called 'Jawab-e-Shikwa', he has a play coming out and he will also be hosting a few Eid shows.

Telefilm JIT will air on Eid ul Azha.
