Phone thrown at singer Drake during performance in Chicago

Canadian singer-rapper Drake is the latest victim of artists being assaulted on stage during performances. While singing ‘So Anxious’ in Chicago, he was hit on the left wrist by a phone thrown by an audience member. Despite the incident, Drake remained unfazed and continued with his show, showing no signs of injury or annoyance.

This disturbing trend of fans throwing objects at artists on stage is a way to grab attention and create viral moments. Several artists have been victims of the trend, including Bebe Rexha, P!nk, Kid Cudi, Steve Lacy, Kelsea Ballerini, and Ava Max.

Rexha experienced the most serious injury when a thrown phone hit her near her eye, causing her to collapse on stage. Authorities arrested a 27-year-old man in connection with the incident.

Kelsea Ballerini also addressed her audience after an object was thrown during her show, emphasising the importance of safety and urging fans not to engage in such behaviour.

Last month, ‘Sweet but Psycho’ singer Ava Max, was performing when a man barged onto the stage and slapped her before being grabbed by security. Despite being visibly shocked by the incident, she continued to dance and perform.

She revealed on Twitter that an audience member had slapped her so hard that it caused a scratch inside her eye.

Recently, Adele warned the audience against this, saying, “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting f***** show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s**t on stage, have you seen them?” she asked the crowd at her Las Vegas residency while wielding a T-shirt gun.

“I f***** dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f*****g kill you,” she joked via a fan-captured video.

With so many such bizarre incidents happening, it is crucial to remind concertgoers to respect artists and not try to injure them!
