Faris Shafi and Talal Qureshi’s ‘Vitamin D’ dropped like ‘munh pe chapair’ and netizens can’t keep calm

It’s not every day Faris Shafi drops a new song but when he does, he’s got everyone’s attention, especially the attention of netizens who have been raving about his latest track ‘Vitamin D’.

Shafi, in collaboration with Talal Qureshi, dropped ‘Vitamin D’ on Wednesday that saw both him and the music producer in a very 2011 setup and colour grading with powerful lyrics, as always. His latest song seems to be a diss track for other rappers in the industry.

People on Twitter want the whole album already.

The line “aap ke munh pe chapair hai (a slap in your face)” is something users love, even if the song is “vitamin D deficient”.

When’s the concert, though?

One user thought that Shafi would stop after ‘Ye Dunya’, a Coke Studio song featuring him, Talha Anjum and Karakoram. “I mean how can you drop your finest art like this man. He is literally like Sadequain on the beat,” they wrote.

Another said Shafi’s rhymes always catch them “off-guard”, especially him rhyming “Vitamin D with rap di mandi”.

People really felt the song.

The song itself was a source of Vitamin D for this user.

Another user just wants everyone to stop focusing on politics and start focusing on Faris Shafi’s music.

The singer is on a roll this year with hit after hit with two songs a part of Coke Studio — ‘Ye Dunya’ and a collaboration really fans wanted — ‘Muaziz Sarif’ featuring his sister Meesha Shafi.

Six months later he dropped single ‘HUM’, another rap song with an upbeat tune that had everyone talking. Since its release, ‘Vitamin D’ has racked up 41,420 views on YouTube.
