Bollywood's Farhan Akhtar will be making a guest appearance in Ms. Marvel

Bollywood's Farhan Akhtar is all set for his MCU cameo as he has confirmed that he will be seen in Ms. Marvel very soon. According to Deadline, the actor will be part of the official cast for the highly-anticipated Disney+ series starring Iman Vellani as Kamala Khan. The fictional character is touted as Marvel's first Muslim superhero in a lead role.

The May 6 article revealed that he has been confirmed as one of the cast members of the show but his character details haven't been disclosed. In the show, Kamala is a gamer and a fan fiction writer who is an avid Captain Marvel fan. She feels like an outsider at her school and at times even at her own home. That is until she is bestowed with same superpowers like the superheroes she looks up to.

Earlier last year there were rumours that the actor has been working on a special project in Bangkok for Marvel Studios, and they were indeed correct.

Akhtar announced it via Instagram and wrote, "grateful that the universe gifts these opportunities to grow, learn and in this case have a ton of fun while doing it." He received well wished from many industry friends and bigwigs such as Karan Johar, Arjun Rampal, Amrita Arora, his wife Shibani Dandekar, Vidya Balan, his sister Zoya Akhtar and filmmaker Farah Khan,

Fawad Khan and Mehwish Hayat are also rumoured to be part of the show. However, so far none have them have made their way to any of Ms. Marvel's teasers. Other cast members include Aramis Knight, Saagar Shaikh, Rish Shah, Zenobia Shroff, Mohan Kapur, Matt Lintz, Yasmeen Fletcher, Laith Nakli, Azhar Usman, Travina Springer and Nimra Bucha.

Marvel Studios will be releasing Ms Marvel exclusively in cinemas only in Pakistan. Disney and Marvel will be specially creating a cinema format version of the six episode series for Pakistan, split into three parts, according to the director, Sharmeen Obaid Chinoy.

Created by Bisha K Ali, the series will premiere on June 8 worldwide on Disney+.
