Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian are married
Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker and reality TV star Kourtney Kardashian's trip to Las Vegas didn't end with just the Grammys. The couple reportedly got married at a ceremony officiated by an Elvis Presley impersonator at One Love wedding chapel while in the city. People magazine confirmed the news and said that the private ceremony took place at midnight and the two arrived in the same clothes they wore to the award show.
A chapel owner on Tuesday told the magazine that he didn't have any idea about the famous couple coming over until they actually pulled up. According to him, Barker and Kardashian asked for a Presley impersonator and said it was "mandatory" for the ceremony. "They came, got married, tossed the bouquet in the driveway, and danced to Elvis. They showed a lot of love and had a lot of fun," he told the publication.
Despite her long-term relationship with former partner Scott Disick, with whom she shares three kids — Mason, Penelope and Reign Scott — this marriage will be Kardashian's first. Whereas for Barker, this is his third time down the aisle as he had been married previously to Melissa Kennedy and American model Shanna Moakler with whom he shares two kids — Alabama Luella and Landon Asher Barker.
American tabloid TMZ was the first to report about their marriage. The couple officially got engaged last year in October. They broke the news with photos from what seemed like a proposal by the beach, surrounded by red roses and candles. Both Barker and Kardashian were longtime friends who took their relationship a step further. He even made cameo appearances on Keeping Up With The Kardashians.
At the award show on Monday, the KUWTK star cheered on Barker as he accompanied H.E.R for song 'We Made It'. Lenny Kravitz, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis also joined the medley.
Their unexpected nuptials after the Grammys makes it unclear whether this was planned by the couple. However, they are not the only ones to tie the knot after an award show. Two years ago, singer Joe Jonas and actor Sophie Turner also tied the knot at a chapel in Las Vegas with an Elvis impersonator officiating. The couple had dressed up for the wedding after Jonas' band performed at the Billboard Music Awards.
