Does Imran Khan need some candidates for Punjab CM? We've got a list handy

DISCLAIMER: This article is a work of satire.

Prime Minister Imran Khan appears to be under a lot of pressure these days from his allies and opponents to rethink some of his political appointments, particularly that of Punjab chief minister. Word is that PML-Q, his allies in Punjab, want Usman Buzdar out and Chaudhry Parvez Elahi in. With all the advice from various quarters, we thought we'd throw in our two cents too and give the PTI chief a very serious list on who can take over the role.

1. Meera

Reason: She's a fighter

Meera's bold, brave and isn't going to back down from a fight. We need someone with Meera's tenacity to get this government going. She's also got staying power — she's been a mainstay of our industry for years despite countless attempts to pull her down.

2. Taher Shah

Reason: He's mankind's angel

Taher Shah is mankind's angel. It only stands to reason that he could be Punjab's angel too.

3. Waseem Hassan Sheikh

Reason: Excuse me, kyun nahi?

To be completely honest, Pakistani politicians don't need many credentials to be elected to office. Why not then elect someone who has made us laugh? Waseem Hassan Sheikh, more popularly known as Mr Excuse Me, Aap Bhi?, is the perfect candidate. He's funny, he has glossy hair and he knows how to get his point across.

4. Nasir Khan Jan

Reason: Paratha rolls, not gender roles

Do we need to do away with toxic and fragile masculinity in Pakistan? YES. Do we know the right person for the job? Nasir Khan Jan. He's all about self love and acceptance and tbh, we need that right now.

5. Aunty Gormint

Reason: We need Aunty Gormint in our lives

We all need someone in our lives to give it to us like it really is. That person is Aunty Gormint. She knows what's up. She'll never lead you astray. And she will definitely be there to pull you up by your socks when you need it. Think of a government being run by Aunty Gormit — NAHI bik gayee hai gormint.
