Priyanka Chopra cast alongside Anthony Mackie in upcoming action flick Ending Things

Bollywood's Priyanka Chopra and American actor Anthony Mackie have both played characters who've dived into the action genre before so it makes sense to cast them in the upcoming action-packed thriller Ending Things. The film has been described as True Lies-esque, referring to the 1994 action comedy that's about a secret agent trying to save the world and his marriage after his wife has an extramarital affair.

This is Chopra's second major Hollywood film after Matrix Resurrections. The action thriller will be directed by Kevin Sullivan who will also serve as a writer. According to Deadline, the plot of the film will revolve around a hit-woman who wants out of the assassin business and tells her "business" partner that she’s putting an end to their personal relationship as well, although she soon realises she doesn’t want to end that part of their bond. The plot will see the duo come together for their last job for one last night out post-breakup.

Davis Entertainment and Lit Entertainment will produce the film with Inspire Entertainment and Mackie’s Make It With Gravy Productions.

Baywatch star Chopra made her international debut with the series Quantico which showed her pulling off the action genre well, which gives fans high hopes for her acting in Ending Things. The actor will also be seen in the upcoming action spy series produced by the Russo Brothers, titled Citadel which will be releasing on Amazon. Mackie is a Marvel star who will play Captain America in the fourth movie of the Marvel franchise. He will also lead the second season of the Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

The new movie is one of many projects in the works for Chopra, who welcomed her first child with husband Nick Jonas last month. In addition to Ending Things, she is also working on rom-com Text for You, biopic Sheela, road trip film Jee Le Zaraa and action comedy Cowboy Ninja Viking.
