'Zalmi never disappoints': Peshawar Zalmi's anthem for PSL 7 is out and fans are hyped
Peshawar Zalmi released its anthem for this year's PSL and it's come just in time for the team's first match against the Quetta Gladiators tonight (January 28).
The song 'Aaya Zalmi' was released today (Jan 28) and features singers Zar Sanga, Sunny Khan Durrani, Zoha Zuberi, Tayyab Rehman and Zara Madani. The song's executive producer is Rohail Hyatt while its music producer is Ali Mustafa.
The music video — directed by Hassan Dawar for the third time in a row — features actors Mahira Khan, Ali Rehman and various cricketers from team Zalmi. You'll find Wahab Riaz levitating like a true Jedi master in the beginning of the video.
According to the video's description on YouTube, the anthem "symbolises 'metaphorical representation of life'" and is about "finding your inner peace and the fight with self to reach one's true potential".
Zuberi shared news of the anthem's release on Instagram with her fans. The up and coming singer has written and composed the song under the mentorship of Hyatt.
Listeners love this year's anthem and have nothing but good things to say about it. "I have never seen anything better than this," commented one user on YouTube.
"Zalmi never disappoints us," commented a fan. "Totally love this anthem."
Durrani's fans were ecstatic to discover the artist drop some rap in Pashto.
