Bushra Ansari glad to be 'quickly recovering' from Covid-19
Veteran actor Bushra Ansari wasn't able to dodge the coronavirus but thankfully she's on the mend. The actor shared news of her contracting Covid-19 on social media on Monday.
Ansari shared how she's quickly recovering from the Omicron variant in an Instagram post. "Thank God I am recovering from [the Omicron variant quickly]," she wrote. [But I am terribly sad] to have missed my friend Rubina Ashraf s daughter's wedding. Allah Mina ko bohat khush rakhy [May Allah keep Mina happy].[I] didn't want to be a risk in [the] wedding for my friends."
Ansari urged everyone to take precautions against the coronavirus as well.
As of Tuesday, four cities in Pakistan have reported over 10 percent positivity of Covid-19 cases — Karachi reported a 30.83 percent positivity rate, Lahore 13.05 percent , Islamabad 10.75pc percent and Hyderabad 10.68 percent.
Tuesday also saw 4,340 cases — the highest recorded in a 24-hour period in about five months — and seven deaths reported in the past 24 hours, with the national positivity rate standing at 8.71 percent.
The NCOC strongly advises individuals to wear face masks in public places, practice social distancing and get vaccinated amongst other preventative measures in order to safeguard themselves against the coronavirus.
