Areeba Habib celebrates her shendi surrounded by her celebrity friends

Actor Areeba Habib who tied the knot on December 31, rang in the new year with a reception plus mehndi — a shendi — surrounded by many of her friends from the industry.

While her nikah look was a traditional red, her shendi outfit had a far more modern vibe.

The Jalan star looked like a vision in an off-the-shoulder champagne Shehla Chatoor number with a voluminous trail while her husband chose a simple black sherwani.

Her outfit was adorned with intricate handwork and had a few crimson accents that added a pop of colour. She topped the look off with a red and champagne embellished shawl-dupatta on her arm. She opted for polki and kundan jewellery from Allure by MHT .

Habib paired the outfit with soft pink-toned makeup by Natasha Lakhani.

The guest list for the event was rather star-studded. Anoushey Ashraf, Sana Fakhar, Shahroz Sabzwari, Sadaf Kanwal, Aiman Khan, Yasir Hussain, Iqra Aziz, Sumbul Iqbal, Aagha Ali, comedian Shafqat Ali, Mansha Pasha, Zubia Rana, Amna Malik, Nadia Hussain and politician Sharmila Faruqi were all spotted at the shendi.

On her New Year's Eve nikah, Habib wore a far more traditional red gharara by Hussain Rehar paired with a bracelet called panjagla, a jhoomar, teeka, heavy earrings, a choker necklace, a nose ring and a long neckpiece.
