Keeping up with Kim Kardashian and Pete Davidson's budding romance
American comedian Pete Davidson is keeping up with the Kardashians — well, at least one of them.
After much speculation, his romance with Kim Kardashian became official after DailyMail.com ran photos of the duo holding hands on Wednesday while celebrating his birthday in Palm Springs, California.
Pete, who turned 28 on Tuesday, is no stranger to high-profile romantic partners, previously having been linked to singer (former fiancé) Ariana Grande, Underworld actor Kate Beckinsale, model Kaia Gerber, Once Upon A Time in Hollywood actor Margaret Qualley and, most recently, Bridgeton star Phoebe Dynevor.
Kim, 41, meanwhile filed for divorce from her husband Kanye West — now known as Ye — in February this year. Their romance, marriage and ultimate separation was widely covered by the media as well as documented in bits and parts in the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
A whole new world
The unlikely pairing was first seen in a skit on Saturday Night Live in early October as Kim played Princess Jasmine and Pete was Aladdin.
The couple's on-screen smooch had people talking but initial reports claimed they were "just friends".
After a few outings together in groups and nights out on the town, the hand-holding pictures have finally confirmed the romance.
While the two have kept mum on the romance so far, friends have been spilling details (anonymously, of course).
One source told Page Six that the mother of four was “constantly giggling” in Pete's company.
“She’s acting like a teenager,” the source was quoted as saying. “She’s constantly giggling. Pete has made her feel like the clock has moved 20 years back. She seems happy.”
Meanwhile, an insider told Us Weekly that “everything flows well [when they’re together], adding the socialite is “always” left “smiling and excited” after hanging out with Davidson, who “makes her laugh" (no surprise there).
According to People magazine, Kim threw the birthday bash for Pete at her mother Kris Jenner's Palm Springs home.
"Even when they are on different coasts, Kim and Pete stay in touch," another insider told the publication.
"Kim loves his spark. He is very funny, entertaining and makes Kim happy. They are still dating and enjoying it. He showers Kim with compliments and she loves it."
Another source had previously told Page Six that they were trying "to take it slow" and "getting to know each other".
So there you have it; the way to a man's heart may be through his stomach but the way to a woman's heart just might be a good sense of humour!
