Usman Mukhtar to star in upcoming 'female centric' drama Sinf e Aahan

Actor Usman Mukhtar couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of upcoming drama Sinf e Aahan and he recently took to social media to share his excitement with his followers.

The actor — who is currently on TV in Hum Kahan Key Sachay Thay alongside Mahira Khan — posted a picture himself on Instagram to announce his involvement in the drama. "So happy that female centric narratives are being given space in the industry. I am proud to support the women of steel on this journey," he wrote in the caption.

Speaking to Images, Mukhtar teased what Sinf e Aahan is about. "It is about female cadets and so the story is very female centric," he said. "I don't think I can say anything else without revealing too much. The director is Nadeem Baig and it is a great experience working with him. Whenever we have shot, it has been a lot of fun."

Mukhtar will star alongside a star-studded female cast that includes Sajal Aly, Yumna Zaidi, Syra Yousuf, Kubra Khan and Ramsha Khan. These leading ladies have previously taken to social media to announce their involvement in the project. sSinf e Aahan is being produced by Humayun Saeed, Samina Humayun Saeed, Shahzad Nasib and Sana Shahnawaz in association with the ISPR. The drama has been written by Umera Ahmed.

According to Mukhtar's Instagram post, it will be broadcast on ARY Digital.
