Who do Pakistanis think is the world's most handsome man? Imran Khan of course

Mirror, mirror on the wall, who's the handsomest of them all? Imran Khan, of course.

The hashtag '100 most handsome men 2021' was trending on Pakistani Twitter Wednesday morning and you can bet your last dollar that Prime Minister Imran Khan is associated with it. But would you have expected that Shafqat Mahmood was a contender too?

First, let's have some context.

Top Beauty World is an American social media platform run by three plastic surgeons from the Los Angeles Cosmetic Surgery Clinic that annually ranks the world's 100 most handsome men, and most beautiful women in separate lists. These lists are shared across the platform's social media channels on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter.

This year, they started taking nominations via social media in May.

As names from across the globe were put forward, Pakistanis began taking part as well.

Enter our our Handsome PM™.

This sentiment is shared by many Pakistanis, who all believe our 68-year-old premier is the world's most handsome man.

The man.

The myth.

The legend.

The...top of the list.

The diamond?

The stage of age!

The trend has come as a Godsend to the PM's many supporters who were itching to pledge their support to their leader. In fact, this time, they didn't even have to bring up the handsome part themselves.

This user invited challenges to his claim.

And of course there were few. How can someone compete with "another level of beauty?"

If you thought PM Imran was the only member of the political fraternity nominated then boy were you wrong. Politicians are the people to go to if what you're looking for are good looks — Pakistan is convinced.

PPP head Bilawal Bhutto Zardari made the cut. How could he not, at less than half of the PM's age?

Another politician nominated was none other than the fallen king of Gen Z — Shafqat Mahmood.

His youthful flare and bad-boy vibes courtesy of his hasty decisions were enough to land him a nomination alongside Chris Hemsworth, Brad Pitt and Zac Efron.

Mahmood wasn't even the strangest nominee on the list but he proves one thing — Pakistanis sure do love their politicians.
