Angelina Jolie and her children are filing proof of domestic violence against Brad Pitt

Angeline Jolie just filed new documents in court against ex-husband and co-star Brad Pitt, accusing him of alleged domestic violence.

The filing, submitted on Friday, March 12, indicates that both the Maleficent star and her children are willing to offer “proof and authority in support” of their claims against the Fight Club actor. According to court documents, Jolie has agreed to provide testimony herself, along with those of "minor children."

“If Angelina has more documentation to prove domestic violence towards her or the children, she can submit it as a supplemental offer to prove in trial,” the family law expert claimed.

However, a source close to Pitt told US Weekly that the filing was nothing more than an attempt to hurt him.

“Over the past four and a half years there have been a number of claims made by Angelina that have been reviewed and not substantiated,” he said. “The children have been used by Angelina to hurt Brad before and this is more of that behaviour. This leaking of documents by her fourth or fifth set of lawyers has been done to hurt Brad.”

After 12 years together, including a few years of marriage, Jolie filed for divorce in September 2016.

Previously, the 53-year-old actor opened up for the first time about his divorce, admitting that he had quit drinking, was undergoing therapy, and that he and Jolie were committed to resolving matters amicably and privately.

Jolie had also spoken about she and her children were coping. "It's just been the hardest time, and we're just kind of coming up for air," she revealed as she and her kids moved into a 11,000-square-foot Beaux Arts mansion, with fountains, a pool, rolling green lawns, a fantasy library and a kitchen worthy of a Nancy Meyers movie. "This house is a big jump forward for us, and we're all trying to do our best to heal our family."

The stars are parents to six kids — Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 14, and 12-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne.
