Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan welcome second baby
Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan's son Taimur now has a baby brother!
The Bollywood power couple welcomed their second-born in Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai, according to India Today. The arrival of the Khan-Kapoor baby was confirmed by Kareena's father Randhir Kapoor.
Ahead of the birth of their second child, Saif and Kareena had shifted to a bigger home, added the publication.
The couple, who married in 2012 and became a family of three in 2016 with the birth of Taimur, announced they were expecting again last year in August.
Obviously, some Twitterati have suggestions for the baby whose name has yet to be announced.
When the A-list film stars had announced the name Taimur, social media users objected loudly and a controversy erupted.
Taimur is considered a highly objectionable christening for some, given the name’s association with a 14th century Turkic king and one the world’s most successful conquerors.
Social media users were ostensibly objecting to the brutal nature of his conquests. Of particular concern was Taimur’s campaign against his fellow Turkics, the Tughlaq Sultanate of Delhi.
When asked about the controversy, Bebo, as Kareena is famously known to family and fans, said she thought the incident was “bizarre”. Times of India quoted her as saying she had no idea why people took her son’s name so personally.
Here's hoping the name reveal is easier this time around!
