Feroze Khan on rumours regarding his marriage, Hania Amir and rejoining showbiz after calling it quits

After disappearing from social media, and silence following rumours surrounding his marriage, actor Feroze Khan has finally spoken up.

In an interview with Something Haute, the Dino Ki Dulhaniya actor revealed his reasons behind returning to showbiz, which he had earlier this year distanced himself from.

"My Sheikh, he has ordered me that I can't quit showbiz," he said, adding that he believes the industry is a source of paighaam from one place to another.

"He also told me that I needed to be at this place. I have to do something out of this, I have to make something out of this. So i'm reading into a lot of scripts, looking into a lot of scripts — I may act, I may produce, but i'm here," he informed fans and followers.

The star didn't confirm or deny having separated with wife Alizay Fatima, with whom he has a baby boy.

He addressed the gossip-mongering surrounding his Ishqiya co-star Hania Amir, who was also reportedly going through a split from musician Asim Azhar around the same time.

"I won't comment on what happened with Asim because that's not my place to say or speak, but what I read about Haniya and I was really disturbing," the star opened up. "Obviously, we also have parents [...] we too have emotions."

"The most upsetting bit was, it could take me 30 seconds to take a screenshot of the chat between Haniya and I on that day and put it up. But I'm watching such senior journalists, for Rs2 publicity, talking rubbish about 'evidence' of what happens on sets, etc. Hania messaged me saying 'what is this, why am I being dragged into all of this'," he added, denying all rumours of anything more than just friendship.

Sharing details about future projects, he said "Khuda aur Muhabbat, his upcoming project opposite Iqra Aziz, will be a game-changer for the Pakistani television industry". He revealed that the budget, execution and story will be entirely different from what audiences have seen before.

In March, the Khaani actor had deleted his Instagram account, causing a stir amongst fans who wondered about his sudden disappearance. Later, putting an end to speculation, he announced quitting showbiz for religious reasons.

"I announce that I quit the showbiz industry and will only act and provide my services for the teaching of Islam through this platform if needed else anything but this In Shaa Allah," he had said, requesting for prayers.
