Brad Pitt sued for $100,000 by woman who claims he made false promises of marriage

A woman from Texas, USA has sued actor Brad Pitt for $100,000 for allegedly duping her of money on a charity debacle, making false promises of marriage.

Kelli Christina, a health care CEO claims that she paid $40,000 for the actor to make five appearances at events that she arranged for his charity Make It Right Foundation, which focuses on constructing homes for victims of Hurricane Katrina; as reported by Page Six.

According to the complaint, Pitt approached her for the purpose of raising funds, and ended up cancelling all event appearances last minute, promising to show up the next time.

She further added that they had soon become fond of one another, even discussing marriage in their close relationship.

Denying all claims, Bradd took to file a motion to dismiss the case, saying he had never interacted with Christina at all.

“Neither the Make It Right Entities nor Mr. Pitt entered into an agreement with Plaintiff,” the documents said. “Rather, as Christina herself has acknowledged, it appears her communications about any agreement were apparently with one or more individuals unlawfully posing as — but not in any way affiliated with — defendants online,” the motion added.

A source familiar with the case also mentioned how this was “a sad case of someone who was the victim of an online celebrity internet scam that had nothing to do with the actual celebrity,” saying that people should take this unfortunate situation as a learning experience.

However, Kelli responded to Pitt’s motion by saying she would fight it, assured she has sufficient evidence for moving forward.

“We have been litigating since March 2020 and I am pushing back on media,” she told The Post. “This lawsuit is important for the country so I will continue to fight Brad Pitt and Make it Right Foundation. I have 113 pages of organized discovery to support the charges and allegations. I wouldn’t expect this lawsuit to go away easily.”
