Inside Adnan Siddiqui's visit to the tomb of Ertugrul Ghazi

Ever since the historical series Dirilis Ertugrul has aired in Pakistan, many have developed an interest in the Ottoman Empire, keen to know more about Ertugrul Gazi and his roots as the chieftain descending from the Kayi tribe.

Located in the land of the Blue mosque, star Adnan Siddiqui too, took to visit Gazi's mausoleum in Sogut — which is a small town in the Bilecik province in Turkey.

All praises for the political figure in history, the Mere Paas Tum Ho actor took to Instagram to document this exhilarating moment from his trip.

Visibly excited, he introduced the resting place of "the man who championed the cause of Islam, wished for a prosperous and safe state for Muslims and non-Muslims alike and whose regime was based on the tenets of justice and fair play."

"I had expected a grand monument to celebrate the great Ertuğrul, man of commanding authority, and a greater legacy — and here was a tomb that spoke volumes of the chief’s life but didn’t need to rely on grandiosity. Humbled," he penned.

Adnan then went on to recite prayers at the resting place, admiring the weather before giving his fans a mini tour of his travels, courtesy of his lens.

Previously, he had shared pictures at lunch, exchanging gifts with who he said was one of the makers of Erturgrul.

"Right now, I'm with Qadir Sahab, and he is the man who created Ertuğrul; his company created it," the Mom actor revealed.

Adding that something exciting was coming up for his fans, he has been revealing snippets from his ongoing shoot. We can't wait to see what's in store and wish Siddiqui safe travels.
